The Light Walk for KWF, formerly known as the Scheveningen Night Walk, has been given a fresh new look in collaboration with KWF. Participants now walk for a more meaningful cause. Whether you fancy a short stroll in the lights or would prefer a longer walk, you can choose from 5, 10 or 15 kilometres. This makes the Light Walk accessible to walkers of all abilities, from families looking for a pleasant evening stroll to experienced walkers who enjoy covering longer distances.
The route takes you along the promenade, through the dunes and past special moments of light, musical surprises and encounters. Along the way, refreshment points are set up, offering something warm or tasty. During the darker months, Scheveningen takes on a unique atmosphere: the seaside resort you know by day as a beach and promenade transforms into a warmly lit setting through which you can stroll with friends, family or colleagues. Feel free to bring your own lights to make the evening even more festive.
The Light Walk is a walk in aid of KWF and against cancer, aimed at adults and the whole family. Participants can set up a fundraising page for KWF. Anyone who raises 500 euros by a certain date will receive their entry ticket from KWF and a free ‘Walk Against Cancer’ T-shirt. So not only will you be walking past Scheveningen’s most beautiful illuminated sights, but you’ll also be contributing to cancer research.
