Visit the centre of Maastricht and have a look at its historic town hall or the Museum aan het Vrijthof. If you're a literature lover, you can spend the whole day in Dominicanenkerk, a converted Gothic church that's now home to a library and a treasure trove of books.
But Maastricht is also the place to be for shopaholics and foodies. Visit the Bijenkorf, one of most inspiring and creative department stores, and park nearby in one of the Q-Park car parks.
