With multiple screens, comfortable seating, and the latest in image and sound technology, Pathé Scheveningen offers a movie experience on par with the best cinemas in the country. From Hollywood blockbusters to Dutch premieres, from family favorites to arthouse gems, the line-up is broad and always up to date. Special screenings are regularly on the program too, such as live broadcasts of operas, ballets, and concerts, or unique events around film premieres.
What makes Pathé Scheveningen truly unique is its location. Step outside the cinema and you’re immediately at the seaside, where you can watch the sunset or feel the fresh sea breeze. For many visitors, this makes the experience extra special: a day at the beach ends here with a movie, or an evening at the cinema is combined with dinner or drinks along the boulevard. Especially during the summer months, the buzzing atmosphere is unlike anywhere else.
Pathé Scheveningen also embraces its role as a meeting place. Beyond regular screenings, the cinema hosts kids’ activities, marathons, themed evenings, and festivals. It’s a venue that welcomes all generations – whether you’re going with friends, family, or on your own.
Pathé Scheveningen is therefore much more than a cinema: it’s part of the vibrant heart of the seaside resort. Here, the magic of the silver screen meets the charm of the coast. Whether you choose an action-packed blockbuster, an intimate arthouse experience, or a cultural evening through a live broadcast, your visit always gains an extra dimension thanks to the special surroundings.
