Parking near SEA LIFE

SEA LIFE Scheveningen takes you on a journey from local coastal waters to exotic oceans. You’ll start with the inhabitants of the North Sea, such as flatfish and lobsters, and end up among the colorful fish of a tropical coral reef. Along the way, you'll learn about ecosystems, endangered species, and the importance of ocean conservation all presented in a way that appeals to both children and adults.

Walk literally under the fins of blacktip reef sharks and stingrays in the tunnel beneath the shark tank. You can also touch a starfish or anemone in the interactive touch pool. Curious how otters, piranhas, or turtles are fed? Attend a feeding presentation and get extra insights from one of the animal care staff.

SEA LIFE is designed with families in mind: it’s compact, engaging, and varied. Kids can go on scavenger hunts, collect stamps, or solve quiz questions posted by the tanks. Meanwhile, you'll learn in an accessible and non-preachy way about plastic pollution in the ocean, sustainable fishing, and coral reef protection.

SEA LIFE may not take a full day, but it will definitely be an unforgettable part of your day in Scheveningen. For many children (and adults), it’s the first time seeing a real shark up close an experience you won’t soon forget. The ocean suddenly feels very close, right in the heart of the city.
